International Fellowship

In Anskar Kirche Marburg we come together as one church from many different cultural, social and generational backgrounds. Currently we have members from 20 different nations, and we are still counting!

While German is the main language in our church life, we see ourselves not as a German church, but as a part of the people of God from many peoples. We want to see men, women and children from all nations discover, worship and serve God together – side by side, shoulder to shoulder. We welcome those from other Christian traditions as well as those who may never have set foot in a church before.

Once a month we celebrate our English Worship Service on a Saturday at 6 p.m. (usually the first Saturday in the month) at Uferkirche. Join us in a rather familiar setting to worship, listen to God’s Word and celebrate Communion.

Next Services: Currently we’re on a break. Join us on Sundays!

You are looking for personal fellowship and want to get to know the Bible better, or even for the first time? You would like to do this in English? Join us at our English Bible Study!

We meet every Friday. Contact us if you are interested!

Every Sunday we worship at 4 p.m. at Uferkirche. We are happy to provide English translation if you need it! Please let us know that you would like translation as you enter the church.

Christ came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near.  For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.

Ephesians 2:17-19

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
